HAVAX FORTE Artemether/Lumefantrime 80/480mg x6

Havax Forte (80mg Artemether / 480mg Lumefantrine) is an Artemisinin-based Combination Therapy (ACT) used to treat acute, uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum malaria in adults and children weighing at least 5 kg. It acts against the erythrocytic stages of the parasite and is effective against drug-resistant strains.

Dosage Regimen:

Usually administered as a 6-dose regimen over 3 days (1 dose at 0h, 8-12h, and then twice daily on days 2 and 3).Dosage by Weight ((ge ) 35 Kg): 1 tablet twice daily for 3 days.

Formulation:

Available as tablets or softgel capsules.Side Effects: Common side effects include headache, dizziness, loss of appetite, weakness, fever, chills, fatigue, muscle/joint pain, and nausea/vomiting.

Precautions:

It may cause changes in heart rhythm (QT prolongation).Important

It is crucial to complete the full 3-day course.Take with fatty food or drinks (milk) to improve absorption.If vomiting occurs within 1 hour of taking the medication, a re-dose may be necessary
