OMESHAL CAPSULES

Omeshal capsules contain omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that decreases stomach acid production. They are primarily used to treat and manage gastrointestinal conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux, heartburn, and stomach or duodenal ulcers.

Key Details & Dosage

Standard Active Ingredient: Omeprazole 20mg.

Common Use: Usually taken as one capsule once daily, 30–60 minutes before a meal for 4 to 8 weeks. Swallow the capsule whole with water; do not chew or crush it.

Other Variants: You may also come across Omeshal-D (which adds domperidone to speed up stomach emptying) or the Omeshal Plus Kit (a combination therapy used to eliminate H. pylori bacteria).

Important Considerations

Interactions: Do not take omeprazole with milk, juice, or fizzy drinks, as these can interfere with how your body absorbs the medicine.Side Effects: Common side effects can include headache, nausea, diarrhea, or abdominal pain.
