AMOXIL SUSPENSION 125MG

AMOXIL Suspension (125 mg/5 mL) is a penicillin-type antibiotic used primarily for infants and children to treat various bacterial infections of the ear, nose, throat, skin, and urinary tract. It will not work for viral infections like the common cold or flu.

Important Details

Preparation: The medication is sold as a powder to be reconstituted with water by a pharmacist or caregiver. Shake the bottle well before every dose.

Storage: Once mixed, the suspension must be stored in a refrigerator (between 2°C to 8°C) and will typically remain potent for 7 to 14 days, depending on the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Dosage: Dosing is strictly based on the child’s weight (usually (40kg ) to (90kg) per kilogram of body weight per day) and must be determined by a doctor
